Liudmila Schafer, MD, FACP, is a board-certified and award-winning medical oncologist, an Associate Professor of Medicine, and a TEDx speaker. She is also a certified Teacher-Scholar in cancer education, as well as a clinical and academic mentor. She is an executive and business coach, and a member of the Forbes Councils.
Dr. Schafer developed the concept and coined the term "Organic Bravery," a vital mechanism to train your body and brain to make better decisions in unexpected obstacles with more stable emotions.
For two decades, Dr. Liudmila Schafer has pursued hard-fought advances in her passion, finding avenues for progression as a female oncologist. Growing up and starting her career outside of the United States, she can relate to health disparities and strives to find methods to end “labeling” and promote equality.

Dr. Schafer is a founder of The Doctor Connect consultancy, specializing in National Impact Strategy (NIS), that involves business coaching, leadership services, media appearances, speaking engagements, and lifestyle modifications. She is dedicated to creating a community where people feel confident advocating for their health, discovering their unrestricted talents, and bridging the gap between their passion and expertise.
As a medical trainee and healthcare professional mentor, she laid the groundwork for a physician’s education curriculum in hematology/oncology. Dr. Schafer also served as principal investigator and co-investigator for clinical trials and holds certification in Translational Research and a teaching scholar in cancer education.
The author of The Other Side of Oncology, Dr. Schafer aims to empower people with success strategies based on high-octane observations from the medical front. She has published work in peer-to-peer journals, served on regional and national committees, has been featured on regional and national television, and in multiple publications.
